The desire to create these kits came from my experience working in emergency services as both a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. I served with two different fire department including time spent as Assistant Chief and later Chief of the department for one of those volunteer organizations. At the same I also volunteered with local medical services responding to a variety of calls. That experience taught me what is truly useful in emergencies.
The usefulness of having quality medical supplies nearby cannot be overstated.
Each person should have a kit in their vehicle and at home. Insurance statistics have told us for years that the majority of injuries take place with a limited distance from our primary residence. That is why it is so important to have the medical supplies on hand should the unforeseen occur.
